The K148 is a purpose-built plaster-in (mud-in) LED profile designed to disappear completely into the ceiling build. Unlike standard recessed channels that leave a visible trim edge, the K148 ships with perforated mounting flanges on both sides — simply screw or glue the flanges to the dryboard, skim plaster directly over them, and the finished result is a pure slot in the ceiling with no frame, no bezel, no visible profile. It accepts LED strips up to 10.5 mm wide.
Engineered around a deep 25mm internal cavity, the K148 gives the strip real room to sit, bend, and breathe — a big advantage over shallow channels that force strips flat and trap heat. The larger aluminum body also acts as a proper heat sink, pulling heat away from the strip and keeping output and color stable across long, continuous runs. It is offered with PC cover, plastic honeycomb cover, aluminum honeycomb cover, and grille cover, so the same trimless housing can be tuned for soft wash, glare control, or directional beam.
Because the K148 is meant to be buried in plaster, it is spec'd for long runs and large projects — airports, atriums, hotel corridors, high-end residential feature ceilings — where a clean unbroken line matters more than quick retrofit. The kit includes end caps and matching honeycomb cover; mounting clips are not required since the perforated flanges are bonded directly into the plaster layer.
